Staffing

In selecting officers to work your account, BP Worldwide Security, Inc. will utilize personnel who are capable of helping maintain those vital relationships with your resident staff and guests that you have invested significant time, energy and money in establishing and maintaining.

BP Worldwide Security, Inc. takes its commitments seriously both in the area of supplying appropriate officers as well as insuring that our clients, officers, and total program receive the critical administrative and operational support that is the hallmark of a viable, and effective security service

Application Of Human Resources

We will staff your security needs with both fully qualified and permanently assigned, full-time officers, and support officers as well as supervisors. They will be effectively trained for your facility. Full-time officers would work all hours required on a Monday-Sunday basis. Support officers would be assigned to work all weekends and necessary holiday coverage. By maintaining a reasonable pool of qualified back up officers our management will be able to eliminate unnecessary problems and assure your management appropriate officers for such situations as vacations, sickness and terminations.

Over Familiarity

Most individuals like to be recognized so familiarity with your employees and guests is a positive attribute to an efficient security program. However, over familiarity represents a significant threat to the status of the security service. This breach of security ethics can result in a multitude of failings in job performance levels and the authority of the security officers.

Officers assigned to your premises will be thoroughly indoctrinated in the critical need to remain polite and friendly with all, but at no time will they cross the line that results in becoming a friend or co-worker with anyone within your employee population. Should your management or our supervisory staff see such a threat develop, BP Worldwide Security, Inc. will immediately replace that individual officer if proper conduct reinforcement fails.

Professional Appearance

The security staff assigned to the client will represent both your organization and BP Worldwide Security, Inc. Ensuring that officers are fully uniformed and neat in appearance creates that desirable image of both authority and efficiency. Pride in appearance is reflective of an individual's interest and eagerness to meet or exceed job performance expectations.

All security officers will receive frequent inspections while on duty to ensure that they are maintaining the professional image that will be beneficial to both your program and our reputation.

Timing Of Property Surveillance Tours

Should your property require surveillance tours, efforts should be made to ensure that a regimented pattern not be established. Conducting tours in such a manner that sets patterns will dilute the psychological deterrent value of the policy and will result in opening breaches in the security plan.

We offer both electronic surveillance equipment and other electronic equipment to enhance property protection

Fire Equipment And Safety Inspection

Incorporated within the touring responsibilities should be the inspection of all fire extinguishers and emergency equipment. This will ensure that your fire fighting and emergency equipment has not been tampered with, is in place, and that clear accessibility is maintained at all times.

In addition we recommended that a plot plan of your premises be incorporated into any security procedures and Post Orders as well as be displayed with your main guard post. The plot plan would have designated on it location and types of all fire fighting and emergency equipment. Also all electronic enhancement equipment should be designated on the plot plan.

Perimeter Security (Where required)

On each touring shift requiring perimeter checks, officers should conduct a complete inspection of your perimeter fence line. This procedure will keep the security staff and your management abreast of any evidence of cutting, climbing or tunneling under the fence line.

No Trespassing Signage

We recommend No Trespassing signs be prominently placed about your perimeter. This inexpensive deterrent and security enforcement tool can prove very helpful legally as well as practically. Should you have existing signs you may want to ensure that they are prominently displayed and that they are in sufficient numbers.

Post Orders

If, at present, no comprehensive Post Orders (standard, situational, emergency and special operating procedures for each security post) exist, BP Worldwide Security, Inc. will write one with input from client representatives, to be approved by your management. The Post Orders will reflect your management's priorities and concerns and service expectations. The Post Orders will achieve three critical goals.

1. Serve as the basic training text and reference guide for all assigned security officers.

2. Spell out in clear and precise language your organization's short and long-term security goals.

3. Serve as the document that will enable your management to effectively measure the work performance of the assigned security staff, the strength or weakness of any incorporated policy or procedure and gauge our management commitment to your satisfaction with our service.

Site Plan

A facsimile of the site plan of your premises should be incorporated into the Post Orders. This will aid officers in directing and coordinating activities of an emergency nature.

Facility Emergency Evacuation Plan

A copy of subject plan should also be made a vital component of the Post Orders, particularly those aspects of the plan that would impact on the security officer's responsibilities in an emergency situation at each post.

Facility Rules Of Conduct

Established rules and regulations, which govern employee and visitor, conduct while at the facility should be attached to the Post Orders or otherwise be available. This will ensure that the officers are in compliance with these expectations and also help the officers in serving as a viable augmentation for your management's concern with compliance.

Safety Program

As with your rules of conduct and evacuation plan, any aspects of your safety program that the security officers need to be aware of and can utilize in policing and observing compliance, will need to be made available as an addendum to the Post Orders or otherwise attached.

Bomb Threat Procedure – General Guidance

A clear and specific procedure for bomb threats should be developed and contained with the Post Orders. This policy will outline purpose, procedures, responsibility of managing executives, responsible managers, information to be recorded, questions to be asked and course of action to be taken by  security management client.
